Valentine

This was a Valentine's Day card for Martin. The heart is from the same stamp set as the flowers on the card for Steph. This is also embossed with the Hologram Sparkle embossing powder (which is my favourite at the moment).

And here is the heart at a different angle so you can see the way it goes orangey too. Such a pretty embossing powder.

Meet me at the Cafe

Using my new MFT stamps again.

I also took a photo at an angle so you can see the dimension :-)
If only I could get the photos to look the same colour!

Unfortunately I managed to smudge the black on the flowery paper a bit. It's so frustrating! :-(

Timeless Rose

Used a stamp I hadn't used in ages, prompted by the challenge on copycatcards.

20/10/08 - The stamp is by Stamp-It, called Antique Rose. The writing and flower are all the one stamp.

C'est la Vie

I made this one for Susan as a Belated Birthday Card. It is also for the copycatcards challenge which is "Blues Browns and Buttons". I used my new My Favourite Things stamp set, which I need practice with. The button is from a pair of shorts I had when I was in school. I cut it off when I outgrew them thinking I would use it one day. Well, I did. Just 15 or so years later!

C'est la vie is what Susan will hopefully say when I apologise for missing her birthday.

Green Butterfly

Here's another card. I wanted to make a card in shades of one colour. I know who this is going to, but won't tell because I want it to be a surprise.

3 Cards

Here are three cards I've made recently. The first is a Get Well for Lyd (which hopefully she has by now).

The second a variation on the same theme, made DL size for a challenge on copycatcards.

The third is a birthday card for Steph. I love the effect of the glittery embossing powder. It's made with my stamps from My Favourite Things called Boho Blossoms. It is a set of about 20 stamps including words. Really nice.

The second card, and the teabag fold card in the previous post, won me a book in a challenge on copycatcards. Yay!

It's so hard to get a nice photo of cards. I try to catch the light from the windows but it doesn't help when it's dark and overcast, like Sydney seems to be so much lately, so the flash always wants to go off. Plus there's not a lot of room to move near my windows to set up a pretty background.

Teabag Fold

It took me a while to get the layout of this one (actually, to decide what to do for the middle bit) but I finally got there.

Not sure who this is for, but it's probably for a man. Though I rather like the colours myself, so maybe a woman.

It uses some of the card that came with my Stamping and Papercraft subscription.

Sorry it's a bit crooked. I can't seem to photograph my cards straight.
